How old are the Earth's Oceans ?

Let's start with the silly idea that the Earth's oceans were at one time nothing but full of fresh water.

If the oceans of the earth had started with fresh water at the beginning, data indicates that it would have taken at the very most, 62 million years to go from freshwater and attain the present level of salinity. (Dr. Jay L. Wile. 2007).

The hydrologic cycle of the earth shows that if we added up all of the salt going into the oceans from the beginning, of  "4.5 billion years" ago, the oceans would be too salty in order to sustain fish and other marine life as we know today.

Thus, if the earth was as old as some secularist scientists try to convince us, there could be no fish life left on the oceans any longer.

While rivers and lakes do not have the ability to hold salt in their beds due to the hydrologic cycle that governs these bodies of water, the same can not be said of the oceans of the earth.

While it is true that the Dead Sea contains some newly found micro-organisms, it is absolutely void of fish life and other fish animals.  “The micro-organisms in the Dead Sea water mainly belong to the domain Archaea and they number around 1,000-10,000 per ml (much lower than regular sea water)".

Rivers, streams, and lakes salinity never have a chance to concentrate salt to a large degree due to their runoff cycle of water and the fact they exchange water with other sources.

The oceans on the other hand do tend to concentrate salt since their only source of relief of water is through evaporation due to the sun’s heat. All rivers, lakes and streams come to the oceans with their salty runoff.

In order for the oceans to reach the present day concentration of salt, it would have taken no more than 62 million years.

Additionally, the rate at which salt is being dumped into the oceans today is decreasing with time. This indicates that the rate of salt addition to the oceans was larger in times past. Meaning that it would have taken even less than 62 million years for the oceans to reach present day salinity concentrations.

Thus, what happened to the other 4 plus billion years of ocean existence ? They were never there. The Earth was not there.

One more evidence the Earth and its oceans are young and not 4.5 billion years old, as some secularists and other not recently updated textbooks reflect.

The above facts are observable and not easy to contradict.

The real facts speak otherwise.
